There are 16 employees at this plastics factory. The area is cordoned off, and firefighters are working tirelessly because the risk of a technological explosion cannot be ruled out. Sixty-four firefighters from the Charleville, Sedan, and Vrignes-aux-Bois fire stations are on the scene.
The cleaning woman, who was the last one at the factory that evening, heard an explosion, “a loud bang,” and “she alerted emergency services along with the manager,” explained the mayor of Bazeilles, Francis Bonne, who went to the scene immediately.
