One of the things we’ve often written about is how certain harmless-seeming situations can actually be red flags. For example, you might think nothing of a water bottle found on the side of the road near your tire, but in reality, it could be an attempt to lure you into a vulnerable position.
Or, you might think nothing of stopping to help someone on the side of the road, only to find yourself in a dangerous situation. One of the most troubling examples of this type of trap is the so-called “abandoned stroller” scam.
