In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Wilson experienced a profound personal and spiritual transformation. He became a Christian minister, stepping away from mainstream acting to focus on faith, family, and service.
He later founded a ministry and devoted much of his life to preaching, counseling, and outreach work. Wilson has often spoken openly about how his faith helped him overcome depression, disillusionment, and the darker sides of fame.
