Booker’s wife, Alexis Lewis, 38, is a Washington, D.C. native and director of investments at Brasa Capital Management in Los Angeles. Before entering real estate and investment, she worked in economic policy for then-Mayor Eric Garcetti, supporting development initiatives in South L.A. She and Booker now share a home in Newark’s Central Ward along with their foster dog, Cooke.
Much of the fascination surrounding Booker and Lewis began when he announced their engagement on September 2, 2025, writing:
“I am savoring the soul-affirming wonder of everyday life with my partner, best friend, and now my fiancée.”

The post featured barefoot photos of the couple on a Hawaiian beach, Booker lifting Lewis mid-laugh, and Lewis beaming with a flower lei around her neck.
As the images spread, fans filled the comments with celebration, admiration, and — in true internet fashion — several theories, comparisons, and critiques.
But through the noise, what emerged was a portrait of two people who found each other at exactly the right time.
As they begin their life together, support from across the country continues to pour in.
Whether Booker’s marriage fuels more speculation about his national political ambitions remains to be seen. For now, the senator and his new wife appear focused on something far simpler: gratitude, love, and the shared journey ahead.
